Two of them are spent on the day of the pour and you can watch them happen. One of them is a design decision that quietly constrains the other three. And one of them is not an install cost at all - it is a bill that arrives every few years for as long as you own the surface.

3. Colour is two decisions, not one

Colour on a stamped surface is usually built in two layers, and homeowners often approve one number without realising they have chosen between two different methods. Colour can be integral, mixed into the concrete before it arrives, so the pigment goes all the way through.
